WHO WE ARE

Morristown Christian Fellowship is a bible-driven church rooted in a historic baptistic, theologically conservative, evangelical faith that is committed to reaching a constantly changing culture with a never changing message.

Our beliefs

At Morristown Christian Fellowship we seek to corporately confess truths that unify us in our doctrinal affirmations. We have found that the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 accurately expresses our beliefs.

What does your church look like?

At Morristown Christian Fellowship we have seen the grace of God through the Word of God transform our lives, and we desire to see that transformation continue in our lives. We are motivated to live Gospel focused lives with intentionality to our all of our neighbors.

On any given Sunday at MCF you can expect to hear theologically rich praise songs (both new and old) along with Scripture reading, which ultimately culminates in a text-driven expository sermon which is often part of a series through a book of the Bible.

During our Sunday School hour and weekly small groups, smaller communities of believers come together to pray for one another and dig down into a text of Scripture together.

What is the mission and vision of your church?

We say that the vision of our church is to be a Gospel-centered, Word-Driven, and Mission-Focused people who seek to make much of our Lord Jesus and His inerrant, infallible, and sufficient Word.

We are committed to be gospel-centered

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ - God in flesh - came to ransom for himself a people by his virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, literal bodily resurrection, and triumphant ascension and that one day he will return to judge the living and the dead and renew all things to himself. It is this good news that saves mankind from sin and eternal damnation - therefore we seek to center all that we do as a church around the truth of the one true Gospel.

We are committed to be word-driven

We are Morristown Christian Fellowship whole-heartedly affirm that the Bible is the very Word of God in written form. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without any mixture of falsehood, contradiction, error, or deceit and that it is all we need to equip us for a life of faith and service to our Lord Jesus. Therefore, we seek to be Word-Driven in not just our worship services, but all that we do as a Body.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO BE MISSION-FOCUSED

We are committed to being mission-focused. One of the most important things in a healthy church is that they seek to glorify God through evangelism, making, maturing, and multiplying disciples. There are many things that the Church is called to do, but proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and teaching those disciples to obey all that Christ has commanded is the primary calling of the Body of Christ.
